FAQ’s Translation
At PublishMe we have several processes in place, to ensure translation quality.
Skilled Translators: We only use translators with extensive knowledge of both the source and target languages and cultures. To ensure accuracy and consistency in the translation, our translators are also required to be knowledgeable regarding the subject matter being translated.
Training and Development Initiatives: To keep our linguists abreast of the most recent language and translation trends as well as any changes in the client’s requirements, we offer ongoing training and development initiatives.
Quality Control: At Transcre8 we have a number of rigorous quality control procedures in place to guarantee that the translations are correct and satisfy the client’s needs. This involves editing, proofreading, and numerous iterations of review by our experienced linguists.
Usage of Translation Memory (TM) Tools: In order to ensure consistency in our translations, we continuously build upon our internal style guides. To this end, we employ, where appropriate, advanced TM -tools. These style guides are adapted to each individual client and project and ensure vocabulary and stylistic uniformity.
Checklists for Quality Control: These are used to make sure that all necessary processes have been followed to guarantee the accuracy of the translation. Before the translation is provided to the client, we review the content once more to help eliminate any mistakes or omissions.
Client Interaction: Our dedicated project managers are in constant contact with our clients to address any issues that may come up during the translation process. This helps to make sure that the translation faithfully matches the needs and specifications of the client.
Whilst we use TM-technology, and CAT-tools where appropriate, as is industry standard, all of our translations are done 100% by human translators, proofread by our skilled linguists, and undergo a rigorous quality assurance process, before being delivered to our clients.
We work with the author and our teams to establish a clear timeline for the translation of your book(s). The exact time depends heavily on the volume of words for each book, but for a 50,000-70,000 word book we usually estimate about 6 weeks to completion from the moment, the manuscript is received by our team.
We use a standard translation contract. Copyright remains with the author at all times.
Yes, the contracts allow us to use excerpts of the books for marketing services related directly to the book(s) or to our services. In certain cases, that may be limited to the content of the reading sample.
We are here to help you get the most out of your books. If you choose not to continue a series, we will simply require payment for the work that has already been completed by then.
No, there are no hidden costs. The quoted price is the price you pay.

Any late payments incur a 10% penalty fee calculated based on the outstanding amount of that particular month.
We can assist in changing the book covers if necessary. To do this, we would require the PSD files. In most cases, we simply supply the content for the cover in the target language, and our authors use their existing designers for any changes.

FAQ’s Part Financed Translations & Publishing
There are quite a few advantages to this service. The main one is the time factor. It is quite time-consuming managing books in one marketplace let alone in a foreign market, if you don't speak the language. Not only is this service significantly cheaper, but we also take care of all the marketing for you, pegging our profit to the success of your book(s).
We believe in collaborative work and we do involve you in key decisions such as launch strategy, pricing, promotions etc.
